Rolling Stone Magazine reports that Eddie Van Halen
recently had his hand operated on in Germany. The surgery on the
hot handed guitarist's left hand was due to pain that had increased to
the point that Van Halen said he was not able to play,
according to the story. The operation took place in Düsseldorf,
Germany after doctors there determined that the cause of the pain was
a combination of a bone spur, a cyst in his thumb and a twisted
tendon. Eddie projects that his full recovery could take
months, but says he's excited about his hand feeling as good as it did
when he was 18.
