Sir Paul joins Rockers
playing in shadow of Green Monster
The lineup of legendary players of left
field in the baseball cathedral known as Fenway Park includes
Ted Williams, Carl Yastrrzemski, Jim Rice, Manny Ramirez, Bruce
Springsteen, Jimmy Buffett, The Stones, The Police and, as of
tonight
(8/5), Paul McCartney. While the Sox have sold
out more than 500 consecutive games, both McCartney shows had
tickets available as of show time tonight. Bad economy - or Paul
admitting that the only game he's gone to was at Yankee
Stadium? The home team would rather have been adding to the
string of Back Bay sellouts instead of dropping the 13th game of the
last 15 it has played against the Tampa Bay Rays at
Tropicana Field during the last two seasons.
