Organizers of the annual concert to help fund programs that
support family farms has chosen the Verizon Amphitheater outside of
St. Louis as the site for this year's event. Performers
confirmed for the October 4 event include charter board members
Neil Young, Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews,
with additional performers expected to be announced in the coming
weeks. This year marks the first time the concert will take
place in Missouri. Over its 24 year history the annual event has
been staged in 15 states and has raised nearly $35 million. Tickets
go on sale July 25. Farm Aid members can purchase advance tickets
starting today
(7/17).
