The whimsical mood of Beatle movies
seems to guide the look and feel of The Beatles: Rock Band.
From black & white package art that evokes images of A Hard
Day's Night to some game graphics reminiscent of Yellow
Submarine, it is obvious this console game will be fun.
But there will also be no shortage of remarkable realism built into
it. From the ability to contribute multi-part harmonies to being
able to "perform" using game devices designed to replicate the
instruments and equipment used at the time of the original recordings
and venue options that include Abbey Road Studio, Shea Stadium,
the Cavern Club, the Ed Sullivan Theater, and the London
rooftop where they did their last public performance together in 1969,
this game has serious game. The September 9 launch also comes
with plenty of archived audio and photos, including many rarities.
