Jimi Hendrix and The Band of Gypsys did two New York City concerts a day on New Years Eve and New Years Day of 1969 & '70. Machine Gun: The Fillmore East First Show 12/31/69 will be released September 30th. The CD/LP release marks the first time the inagural live set by the group Hendrix formed after disbanding the Experience will be available. The 11 song 75 minute set recorded that Wednesday night includes Power Of Soul. Lover Man, Hear My Train A Comin', Changes, Izabella, Maching Gun, Stop, Ey Rider, Belleding Heart, Earth Blues and Burning Desire.
