Dean Castronovo, the drummer with Journey, was reportedly jailed without bail in Salem, Oregon Monday (6/29) on an array of charges that included several counts of fourth degree assault, two counts of menacing and other counts, including a second degree sexual assault charge and a weapons count. The drummer is alleged to have engaged in the illegal activities between April 25th and the day he was arrested. Castornovo was arrested on a rape charge after a domestic disturbance on June 14. He was released the following day and allegedly began a text and phone call barrage of the woman. The DA in the case maintains that Castronovo would violate terms of release if let go again. The drummer also had a run-in with the law in Oregon three years ago stemmiing from a domestic dispute. Journey has addressed the matter by signing on Omar Hakim to take Castronovo's place in the band indefinitely.
