Oliver Stone's documentary on the Doors was derided as only a vaguely credible account of the band's brief, turmoil filled career. On November 11, Doors fans will have the opportunity to see the full length account of what life in a band with Jim Morrison was like from footage authorized by the band and filmed in 1968. Scenes from Feast of Friends have been used in various documentaries over the years since Morrison died and Doors collectors have come by bootleg versions of portions of it, but this marks the first official release of the complete movie. The Eagle Rock Entertainment release of the DVD will also include a 1967 performance by the band in Toronto and The Doors Are Open, a UK TV feature on the group.
