4/20/1993 Aerosmith releases Get A Grip

Get A Grip, the album that would become Aerosmith's best selling album, got its release on this day in 1993.  More than 20 million copies of the Boston band's eleventh studio album would sell world wide.  Geffen's A&R Director convinced the band to collaborate with some outside songwriters and delayed a planned 1992 release to give the group the chance to do that and record some stronger songs.
